Linda Edna Cardellini is the daughter of Lorraine (Hernan), a mother, and Wayne David Cardellini (a father) and who is a businessman. Her parents are of Italian (from her maternal grandpa), Irish (from her mother), German, English and Scottish descent. Linda was raised within her native San Francisco Bay area, California, the youngest of four kids. Her interest in acting began as a ten year old, after she was a singer in a Christmas production at school. She did school and community plays. Linda attended Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. After graduation she had to make an option. Should she move into New York and pursue theatre or Los Angeles in order to study film and television? After graduating, she had to decide whether or not to pursue a career in film or television in Los Angeles. Linda performed her first big part as a character Bone Chillers, a 1996 television show. Freaks and Geeks was the character that led to her breakthrough. Lindsay Weir was her character in the Emmy-winning series.

Lily James was born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson (5 April 1989). She has a profession as an English actor. She studied acting in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London before launching her acting career in the British television show Just William (2010). Following her role in the role of Lady Rose MacClare in the period drama series Downton Abbey (2012-2015), her breakout role was playing the title role in the film of fantasy Cinderella (2015). James went onto portray Countess Natasha Rostova, in the television version of War & Peace, in 2016. She also appeared in a number of films. These include the action film Baby Driver (2017) and the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018 and 2021) and the musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Back Again (2018) as well as Yesterday (2019). In 2022, her character in the role of Pamela Anderson was recognized with an Golden Globe nomination and a Primetime Emmy Award.
